Email addresses. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use this to send you the newsletter you requested. Your email address is stored securely using Cloudflare KV, a key-value data store operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Analytics data. This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects data including pages visited, time on site, referral sources, general geographic region, and device type. This data is associated with a cookie identifier. GA4 analytics are only loaded if you have accepted cookies via our consent banner. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising data. This site displays advertisements served by third-party advertising networks. Data Retention

Email addresses of newsletter subscribers are retained for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe and request deletion, we will remove your address from our records within 30 days.

Contact inquiry data is retained for up to two years and then deleted unless there is an ongoing reason to retain it.

This site contains links to external websites, including Perseus Digital Library and publisher pages for books referenced in our content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

Children's Privacy
